Get started in the world of competitive Pokémon TCG play at League Cup tournaments. These events are a step-up from League Challenge competitions, featuring an increased Championship Point payout and giving players more opportunities to test their skills in preparation for larger events. In Pokémon TCG League Cup tournaments, players can earn Championship Points and work toward earning an invitation to the World Championships! Please read the details below for more information.
Format: Standard. (Regulation Mark E and on) DECK LISTS REQUIRED
Pre-registration: Call the store at (210) 647-6119 to be placed on the pre-registration list or waiting list. All players must check in before registration closes at 12PM noon. Players who pre-register and do not check-in by 12PM noon will lose their spots to players on the waiting list.
Details: Players must bring their own 60-card standard deck, NO PROXIES. League Cup events consist of Swiss rounds (based on attendance); there will be a top cut to single-elimination rounds.
Players must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Player ID attached and must have opted into the Play! Pokémon program to earn points and prizes. All participants will receive 1 Play! Point just for playing. Players can apply for Player IDs via Pokemon.com. Player IDs may be available at the event along with blank deck lists.
The Championship Point payout for the Pokémon TCG League Cup is as follows:
All divisions: 1st: 50pts, 2nd 40pts, 3rd – 4th 32pts, 5th-8th-25pts 9th-64th: based on attendance.
Prize payout: (based on attendance per division) paid out in sealed product.
